Design and Looks
The phone stands at 104x43x10.5mm and weighs about 80g. The phone is light and compact and with a rounded edge design gives a comfortable feel and a grip in your palms.
The Sony Ericsson W350i comes with 1.9 inch TFT display with a resolution of 176x220 pixels. There are also ambient light sensor that automatically control the display lighting.
With a flip the alphanumeric keypad is exposed and it provides a good surface for typing. The keys are nicely laid out on the surface with good plastic or rubberized texture to their surface and make it a pleasure typing even for longer duration.
The D-pad on the keypad is slightly a drawback when it comes to the selection functionality. The central button for selection is very small and becomes annoying if you have large thumbs and like to move around quickly.
The interface on the phone supports the Flash Lite Theme support which supports various themes which can completely change the looks from one theme to another.
The music player on the phone comes equipped with several equalizer functions including the Mega Bass feature which is a common functionality found on the Walkman series phones. The player also supports Album art during playback or any of the visualizations can also be selected during playback.
The Radio on the Sony Ericsson w380 features the RDS support which gives the TrackID information. The handset offers a mere 1.3 megapixel camera onboard considering it's not a imaging phone and a Walkman series device. The camera takes average shot and does not offer quality pictures which is understandable considering its resolution.The image gallery is quite the same found on most of the Sony Ericsson phones with filter that exudes images based on memory they are stored on to.
Overall the phone appeals to the budget users who would look for a great music player along with a decent camera. The phone has a good design and makes it an easily portable music player on go.
