Design and Looks
The design of the phone is a minimalistic design with dimensions of 100x45x12mm and weighs about 75g. The phone is very light and very easy to hold and carry around too. The design makes it very easy to move the phone in and out the pocket.
The phone features an alphanumeric keypad with 3 by 4 combinations. The keys seem to be nicely lifted up and therefore give a good feedback even for faster texters. The keypad has an even backlight and makes up well for a entry level phone.
The display on the device comes at 1.7 inches around and has a maximum resolution of 128x160 pixels. The display can show up to 65,000 colors and has good sunlight eligibility too. The display is not that vibrant compared to the other screens from the company but does a pretty good job considering visibility indoors and outdoors.
On the multimedia features available the phone contains a .3 megapixel VGA camera which can manage to just about click pictures and that's about it. The camera interface is minimalistic but at the same time the interface is easy to use and does its job efficiently. There are no effects around for any photo editing either. The camera is also capable of recording video for 12 minutes considering a limited storage on the phone.
There is a clip tool available on the interface which is a good add on along with a Picture Wallpaper feature.
The music player on the phone is capable of playing all formats but you did be restricted with your connection as there is only 10MB of internal space available on the phone making it very difficult to store any more than few songs. It also features an integrated FM & AM stereo radio with RDS onboard. The phone also features customization with ring tones including the polyphonic and MP3 tones.
The K330 works on a WAP browser with XHTML and has a support for GPRS. The device uses Bluetooth technology for local connection. The phone is a dual band device and covers GSM 900/1800 only.
Some of the other features include the embedded java games to keep you entertained while travelling. There is also a Health Mate application included on the phone which will provide the user being able to keep track of their weight and calorie information and all sports activities. Some of the other applications included are the Phone book, Timer, Calculator, Alarm Clock, Speaker Phone and a Calendar.
Overall the phone seems to be an entry level phone with nothing much special features around and fits in the category of entry level phones very easily.
